The tent palaces are the centre pieces, designed to be exactly that and hold the centre with grace and elegance.

The idea is that without a centre point a space becomes disassociated and these are landmarks of focal grandeur which gather the space around them and thus bring the people together. Such a tent is created for campsites or centres where there is a number of smaller units that need networking; holding together a live framework and giving the whole a meaning beyond the level of the individual.

So much goes today in the “make do” that we lose much needed construct, at times the whole idea of living in indigenous structures becomes devoid of meaning.

The tent palaces are thus created to re-manifest that initial magic. There are limitless possibilities for the design of the grand centre-point and all our tent-types can be incorporated: it could be a multi-tiered yurt structure or consist of a few different tents conglomerated into one meta-unit, wood....metal...and canvas. Each palace is its own creation and there is no standard model for these bigger tents, insuring that each one of these palaces does not need to compete for attention with a series of replicas of itself and is truly unique.
